Spring Is Almost Here!

Spring -- a time for renewal...I am excited that my new CD will be arriving in a few weeks.  This project was different from other CD's, since I had been using these songs in worship services for years.  Many times, CD's come out, and the songs have never been sung with audiences or congregations.   For many of you, these songs will not be new.  But the arrangements will sound new to you!   I hope you will enjoy listening to my CD, "Come & Worship".  The melodies are not only for use in worship in a churchRead more

Come & Worship CD

We are on the final step -- the artwork and layout for the Come & Worship CD.    I can't wait until the CD's are ready, and I can get them out to all of you!   Producing, directing, and performing in my annual Christmas Concert at The Count Basie Theatre, has been rewarding, but did put me behind with my recording projects.   It's hard to believe how one concert can take up so much time, all year, in preparation for that one night.

I am looking forward to my CD release, with another one right behind it!

Carnegie Hall with Michael W. Smith!

We are one day away from our concert at Carnegie Hall with Michael W. Smith!  I am honored to be singing with the New American Choir, for this historical event.  I love Michael's music, as a soloist, and as a Music Director and conductor.   David Hamilton has worked with Michael for 12 years, and I have used his wonderful arrangements for my church choir and Count Basie Theatre Christmas concerts.   David is our conductor for Michael's concert.  We had an awesome rehearsal today, with choral singers fromRead more

My CD's will be out soon.  There will always be delays, but we are working hard to get everything done.   I am looking forward to sharing my songs with you.   I hope you are having a great year, so far, in 2013.  I know God has wonderful plans for all of you, and He will be with you every step of the way!     I will be going down to Nashville for the final vocal mix in February, as well as getting the CD mastered.  The two CD's are entitled, "Come & Worshp" and "Cover Me, Lord"...

I'm not doing any traveling this fall, since I am working on the release of 2 new CD's.   With my Count Basie Christmas Concert coming up, it was was too much to schedule.   More details to follow!...

Summer of 2012

Summer is here!  I know that God planned and shaped all the performances and worship venues that have been scheduled.  Personally, I am dealing with my Dad's illness - - he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in June.   He is 84 years old, and it seemed as though his condition got worse, over-night.  We are praying that he will be able to have quality of life, in his later years.   My Mom and Dad have always been supportive of all my concerts and performances.  Now that they have slowed down, I miss seeing them.Read more

Clifton Heights, PA

Special thanks to Marjorie Miller, who has faithfully asked us each year, to lead her church's Contemporary service, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, in Clifton Heights, PA.    Musicians, John Lucas, drums, and Adrien Synnott, bass, have also joined me, to play for this wonderful church.   This year, in 2012, marks our 9th year, in sharing my music ministry at St. Mark's!     The scripture reading focused on John 15: 1-6:

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me

Good Friday, 2012

It's Good Friday...usually it's a cloudy, chilly day...  but today, it was beautiful, with sunshine all day.    Yet I couldnt get my mind off the darkness that covered the earth, when Jesus said, "It is finished", and He died.   After a cruel death and unimaginable suffering, my heart is heavy, as I think about the sacrifice of our Lord.   I sang at church tonight, as I do every year - - - tonight, the words, "may this not be in vain", made more of an impression on me, than ever before.   I wanted the worldRead more

Indian Mills United Methodist Church, Shamong, NJ

I enjoyed sharing my music ministry with the congregation at Indian Mills United Methodist Church.   Shamong is a beautiful town, so evident after the eveing snowfall.   The people were so nice, and I felt right at home.  Rev. Orr is a wonderful pastor and Christian, full of God's love. The Bible reading focused on healing, and songs like "Breathe", helped the congregation to feel God's healing, through music.  I also sang "Pie Jesu" at the 8:30 AM service, and included my song, "Send Me", at the 11:00 AM…Read more

A New Year Has Begun - 2012!

Hi, Friends!  It's been a while since I wrote in my blog.  Sorry for the delay!   Once I am in rehearsals for my Count Basie Theatre Christmas Concert, I fall behind on my writing!    My concert was a success, and I was blessed to work with so many talented and devoted singers and musicians.   Finding the tenor, Jeremy Blossey, was also a blessing!   Thank you all for your love and support - whether you were able to attend, or if you prayed for us.   Our focus was again on the birth of our Lord and Savior,Read more
