On Saturday, January 21, 2012, 7:00 PM, at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Long Branch, NJ, I will be performing in a benefit concert for Family Promise.  www.familypromisemc.org/    I am excited about not only performing, but also accompanying many of the other singers on the program, using guitar and piano.  Family Promise helps homeless children and their families.   What a blessing to be a part of this wonderful event!  

I will be performing at the Strand Theatre, Lakewood, NJ, on March 31st, at 7:00 PM.   I'll be the featured soloist that night, and will join an all female choir and band, as the opening act for Melba Moore's show, "Still Standing".  I'm excited and honored to be in this concert, with the renowned, Melba Moore.   Melba graduated from Montclair State College, now Montclair University, with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree.   I also graduated from the same college, with the same degree!   I was so thrilled to have something in common with Melba Moore.   Most importantly, Melba Moore loves the Lord, and has shared her music and her voice with many churches, throughout her career.  

In booking concerts and programs for the coming year, I am continuing to focus on women's ministries.   It has been rewarding to speak and share my music ministry with many women's groups.    At these events, I feel that having the women participate is a priority.    At Emmanuel Community Church, in Bayville, NJ, one woman shared her experience as a cancer survivor, and how cancer actually strengthened her faith, and helped her to grow closer to Christ.    Her testimony was inspiring and uplifting.   I will never forget her strength and her courage.   By inviting participants to speak, I get to know the women better, and they also learn more about one another.   You never know what someone else is going through.   Sharing our faith and music, helps to make the women's conference, dinner, or luncheon, more meaningful.
